What is a Strategic Recommendation?

We’ve introduced Strategic Recommendations, a new report block that helps you move beyond insights and into decision-making. This feature transforms social data from your Social Report into actionable recommendations and answers the most important question: How can I take these insights further?

A Strategic Recommendation translates social insights into a clear next step.

  • Insights explain what is happening and why

  • Strategic Recommendations explain what to do about it

Each recommendation connects:

  • The opportunity or risk

  • The supporting insight

  • The business impact

  • The recommended action

This helps teams move seamlessly from data to decision to action.

You can now add Strategic Recommendations directly within your Social Report.

  • Inside your report, select Add Section, then Strategic Recommendation

  • Provide a clear objective to anchor the recommendation

  • Write your own objective or choose Improve with AI to refine it

Each recommendation is automatically structured for clarity and impact.

How Strategic Recommendations Are Structured

Each Strategic Recommendation includes:

  • Three overarching recommendations, each with:

    • A clear summary

    • Bullet-point ideas outlining how the recommendation could be executed

This structure makes it easy to understand the opportunity, the reasoning behind it, and the action to take.

You can also generate multiple strategic recommendations within a single report, allowing you to explore different objectives or angles.

How Teams Can Use Strategic Recommendations

Strategic Recommendations help teams across marketing, brand, insights, and strategy act faster and with more confidence. Common use cases include:

  • Strengthening content strategy by doubling down on high-performing formats and themes

  • Refining brand messaging and positioning using real audience language and emotional drivers

  • Improving audience targeting by focusing on who is driving conversation

  • Outmaneuvering competitors by identifying gaps, weaknesses, and opportunities

  • Optimizing campaigns based on what is resonating and what is not

  • Managing brand reputation by addressing emerging risks early

  • Identifying influencer and partnership opportunities rooted in organic conversation

  • Spotting trends and future growth areas before they peak

Why It Matters

Strategic Recommendations make your Social Reports more than informative. They make them action-oriented. By clearly outlining what to do next, you can align stakeholders, accelerate decision-making, and ensure insights lead to real business impact.
